Appeal following incidents of indecent exposure in Pontllanfraith and Newbridge

Officers are investigating incidents of indecent exposure where a male has been seen exposing himself in Pontllanfraith and Newbridge.

We have had three incidents reported to us within the past two weeks, all involving a man wearing shorts who exposed himself in the presence of children between the hours of 4pm and 5.30pm.

The first offence took place on Thursday, 3rd May, in Bryn Fields, Pontllanfraith, followed by two similar reports in Pennar Lane and in the lane to the rear of Panteg Terrace, Newbridge, on Sunday, 13th May.

The suspect - believed to be responsible for all incidents - is described as a white male, aged between 30 and 40, with a skinny build and standing at between 5ft 6in and 5ft 8in tall. He was wearing a black baseball cap, black t-shirt, black sweatshirt tied around his waist, black shorts and black trainers.

All episodes were witnessed by children playing in the area. The male made no attempt to approach the children or engage them in any conversation but made no attempts to conceal his actions either.

We would like to reassure the public that we are actively investigating these incidents and have increased police patrols in the area. However, we would ask that anyone within this area remain vigilant to their surroundings.
