Burglary at Torfaen County Borough Council Offices, Panteg Way, New Inn

We’re investigating a burglary that has taken place at the Torfaen County Borough Council Offices at Panteg Way, New Inn.

The burglary happened sometime between 11pm on 11th April 2017 and 2am on 12th April 2017.

At 11.09pm on 11th April 2017 a van is seen pulling up to the main gates. The van appears to be a Ford Transit, either silver or white.

Two men are seen getting out of the van before one man wearing dark tracksuit bottoms with Adidas stripes, a cap and white trainers, cuts the chain on the front gates.

The van drives through the gates and is seen leaving again at 11.16pm

Later at 1.24am on 12th April 2017 the van is seen driving into the premises again.

Approximately £24,000 worth of outdoor maintenance equipment was stolen, including:

15 strimmers

5 blowers

3 long handle hedge cutters

3 short handle hedge cutters

These have been taken from two storage containers on the property, which were entered by damaging the locks on the outside and on the inside. The property taken was security marked with a forensic marking product.
