RE-APPEAL: Appeal for information following an assault on a teenage girl in Cwmbran

We’re re-appealing for information following an assault on a teenage girl in Cwmbran on Friday 3rd March 2017.

At about 8.30am on Friday 3rd March 2017, a girl was assaulted by an unknown man having just entered a lane at the side of Henllys Way, Cwmbran.

The lane runs between Ty-Canol Row and The Neerings, Cwmbran.

The man is described as being in his early 20s, clean shaven with short dark hair that is described as worn in a quiff. He is around 5 foot 6 inches tall, slim build, wearing black clothing and carrying a black umbrella, he has a local accent.

Following the assault he walked off in the direction of Tolpath, Coed Eva, Cwmbran.

Following our enquiries, officers are particularly interested in speaking to a potential witness. At this time, we are unsure if they were a man or a woman but we believe they were wearing mostly black and that they were walking along Henllys Way, Cwmbran between Orchard Court and Neerings between 8.15am and 8.30am on Friday 3rd March 2017.
