Four men charged in relation to three Newport armed robberies

Gwent Police have charged four men with a series of offences after three alleged robberies on the same night in Newport.
The incidents are said to have taken place on the evening of Thursday, 31st May, in Godfrey Road, Queens Hill Crescent and Tewkesbury Walk.
A 26-year-old man was charged with three counts of attempted robbery. He will appear at Newport Crown Court on 12th July.
A 22-year-old man was charged with three counts of attempted robbery, wounding with intent, two counts of possessing a firearm with intent to commit an offence, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and possession of an offensive weapon. He will appear at Newport Crown Court on 11th July.
A 28-year-old man was charged with three counts of attempted robbery, and with possession of cannabis. He will appear at Newport Crown Court on 2nd July.
Finally, a 30-year-old man was charged with three counts of attempted robbery. He will also appear at Newport Crown Court on 2nd July.
